Dec 26, 2018 · Nice looking rifle. I bought a used c308 in May and put wood on it before I even shot it. The rifle has good bolt and ct gap and is a pleasure to shoot. All the extractor does is hold the cartridge to the bolt face until the ejector can kick it out. A weak extractor spring or damaged extractor lip will allow the brass to drop out before the ejector can kick it. Your double feeds are likely a result of the brass falling off the bolt face.
